Boyfriend
Wanna look “bad ass ” like a girly boyish creature? Go to the next shop and get yourself a pair of boyfriend shorts. You can add a vest and a bandana (bright color looks cool) and you are set! I don’t know why but I am very inspired by blue lately. Hopefuly you are not tired of my blue pendant! I have been wearing it quite a bit during the last photo shoots. Oh and I wanted to show you the last discovery I made at Forever21 for very cheap: the striped shirt with the beautiful broderies on the shoulders. The broderies sometimes look ugly and not very sophisticated but this shirt had some nicely done ones! Have a great week!
Cool shorts
This pair of shorts are a last buy (showed them to you in a recent article on Forever21). They were cheap and most important nicely cut. I fell in love with the color and the zipper on the side. Sooo cool. The weather has been going from one direction to another and I just don’t know what season this is supposed to be! Two weeks ago and a couple days last week it was so nice and hot and this weekend the cold invite itself again… Read more
“La petite robe noire”
“The little black dress”. Do you know who was the first to “invent” the concept? Wearing a simple little black dress was revolutionary when Gabrielle Chanel (or Coco Chanel if you prefer) started the trend. Now who doesn’t own a simple little black dress? Pretty much everyone. That is because it is so simple, basic even, and if nicely cut, very classy. You can match it with a bright color for example (I’m a fan of this red/orange scarf) and pair it with a cool neckalce or big piece of jewelry (because you can with the simpleness of the dress). Hope you like it! Read more
Flower power!
Yes flower power but not in a cheesy and girly way, no no no, in a rock’n'roll way! Plus I’m totally H&Mised for this outfit! I went to H&M last weekend and I found a couple real cute pieces: first the shirt (and the coolest studded belt for a rock’n'roll look). Darlings, flowers can be so sexy-romantic! I love this hue of red, almost salmon color but not boring. You can spice it up with a cute sash of the same tint but brighter to bring out the flowers. Secondly, and take a close look, the heels. I had a crush. Period. And guess what? They are sooooo comfy! I couldn’t beleive it! Usually when I buy heels I get them thick, but here they are quite thin but the design is JUST right… Read more
Angels can fly…
I particularely love this sweater because my mom got it for me…
And because the wings are so cute and cool at the same time. We all wish we owned the real one! Flying away, going to heaven, never feeling pain… What a plan! So I decided to complement the wings with my butterfly earrings and a light fun pink flowery scarf. Being girly feels so good at times… (PS: did you know that this bright blue is the color of the Archangel Michael?) Read more
Jeans again…
Did you ever wonder what you would wear on a regular relaxed day if jeans didn’t exist? Frankly, I don’t know! As a jeans lover I can not imagine my life without it. I own more than 10 pair of jeans (not talking about the jackets here…lol) of differents colors, cuts, style… Life would be boring otherwise. The pair I’m wearing now I found in a thrift store in LA. They are Abercrombie & Fitch for 8 dollars. I love this brand for jeans because they make the pockets just right… Meaning your butt looks really good. Don’t fool yourself here, the back pockets are crucial for jeans… They can make your butt either look sexy, or disgusting and bigger than what they are. Also, one thing I want to add in this session is the fact that I restricted my self to 5 colors exceptionally: blue of the jeans, navy blue, beige and brown (the hue is close so it works), and white. White looks dignified and classy with navy blue and beige. I love the match! Enjoy! Read more
Bags, a long story…
I think the title is clear enough so let’s go for a ride in bag’s heaven!
First: Day bags…
A little promenade
Hello darlings!
Here I come again with my sailor shirt. It was the perfect thing to wear for a nice little walk, in a cute neighborhood, on a Sunday afternoon! I still wore I blazer which is more dressy but that’s just because I like to mix casual (like these ripped jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch) and chic. I am wearing a thicker belt here because the sweater is a little too long otherwise. I would have not put the belt if I had worn leggings for example. Let’s talk about the jeans now. Ripped, but not only… I folded the bottom in a way so that they rest right above my ankles. I believe this rule should be applied for any “boyfriend” type of jeans just because after studying the question, I came up with this distance as looking the best for pretty much anyone… lol. My lovely trenchcoat!
A trenchcoat! Who doesn’t own a trenchcoat? It is a classical piece of clothing, a must-have all year long. When the cut is right, the fabric lean, and the color flattering, a trench can really make an outfit outstand with elegance. However be careful that it doesn’t go under your knees when you wear it… it will make you look shorter that what you are. I also make it a point to pick one that has cool buttons. They show a pattern, a structure, they are almost like a garnment so they need attention. Choose the buttons with a cool texture or color, and not oversized neither too small. I’ve owned a couple trenchecoats since I was 15 and I’ve always chosen them either grey or beige. Black is a good pick too, a safe choice. Read more
