Alexander McQueen Fall-Winter 2010/11
Before committing suicide on February 11th, the English Designer had practically finished 16 silhouettes of its Fall-Winter collection 2010-2011. Judging by the magnificence of the models, it was a Haute Couture collection. I find his last designs AMAZING. Inspired by the historic and religious representations of the Middle Ages, McQueen managed to create a sacred dimension in his designs. Imperial and poetic, the last garment (coat of feathers covered with gold with a high collar) crystallized the imagination and technical know-how of the Master. We will miss you Alexander… very very much.
Alice at department store Printemps in Paris
The store is celebrating the release of the new Tim Burton version of Alice in Wonderland on March 24th. Amazing designers like Haider Ackermann, Manish Arora, Chloé, Ann Demeulemeester, Christopher Kane, Nicholas Kirkwood, Maison Martin Margiela, Bernhard Willhelm, and Alexander McQueen (God bless him) have done a fabulous job in making Alice current and sooo chic.
Spring-Summer 2010, my favorite Designers!
I want to share about a selection of my very favs from the runway…
